Hyderabad began the fourth day at 166 for seven but were bowled out for 302 in 69.5 overs in their second innings, setting Mumbai a target of 10 runs to win.

Musheer Khan’s five-for sets up the finish

Left-arm spinner Musheer Khan starred with the ball, returning figures of 5 for 49 and cleaning up the tail to complete his five-wicket haul. Mumbai then wrapped up the chase quickly, reaching the target in 3.2 overs with one wicket down.

With one league match remaining, Mumbai were reported to be top of Group D with 30 points. The outright win not only confirmed qualification but also underlined their momentum heading into the knockouts.
